Live and Work in Oroville, California

XtremeHomes™ is proud to call Oroville, CA home.  Better yet, as a green OffSite™ producer of houses we strive daily to do our part in keeping the environment around us beautiful.

A Great Place To Call Home

Oroville is located in the Central Valley of the state of California, approximately one hour north of the city of Sacramento.  Oroville is also located 25 miles southeast of the beautiful college town of Chico, CA.  The population of Oroville is approximately 14,000 and has a nice clean small town atmosphere.

Oroville is the county seat of Butte County which is known as the "Land of Natural Wealth and Beauty."  Butte County has a population of 230,000 and Chico has a population of 105,000.

The great part about living in Oroville is that temperatures are moderate but during the winter, you can be playing in the snow in just a few minutes.

Our location is also unique.  We are nestled in the foothills at the place where the Sierra Mountain range turns into the Cascade Mountain range.  Another unique geographic feature that Oroville has nearby is the Sutter Buttes, the world's smallest mountain range.

We also have a few things to be really proud of.  Not only is Oroville home to XtremeHomes, a leader in green construction, we also produce some of the best olive oil in the world and have some of the finest fruits and vegetables grown all around us.  Oroville is also doing its part in the green movement; many of the government facilities are powered by large solar arrays.

Close To Everything

While Oroville has limited shopping and dining, the beautiful surroundings make up for the limitations and for those who are looking for a little more hustle and bustle, Chico is just a few moments away via a newly improved freeway. In just a couple hours, you can be skiing the slopes around Lake Tahoe and Squaw Valley or enjoying wineries in the Sierras or Napa/Sonoma region.

Even closer yet, we have our own natural beauty.  Table Mountain that shadows the city of Oroville is a destination every spring for thousands of people who come to view millions of wild flowers.  Oroville is surrounded by Lake Oroville that has 167 miles of shoreline and some of the best bass fishing on the west coast.  Every year, thousands of people make Lake Oroville their vacation destination for boating, fishing or house boating.

The Feather River meanders right through the middle of Oroville and has two major Salmon runs every year.  We also have Feather Falls the sixth tallest waterfall in the nation right in our back yard.  Just a few miles out of Oroville, is the scenic Feather River Canyon - one of the most scenic drives in America.  In the spring of the year hundreds of waterfalls cascade down the sides of the canyon flowing into the Feather River.

If you are into cycling, several organizations host cycling events every year and we have an active bicyclist organization.  Many cyclist come to Oroville to ride our miles of cycle trails.  If you are a equine person, we also have miles of equine trails.

A Life Style

Many families and individuals are moving to Oroville because it is a great place to live.  The laid-back atmosphere and small town feeling is something that many people that are tired of large city hustle and bustle and traffic jams are looking for and Oroville fills that requirment.  We are proud to make Oroville our headquarters and hope that you will join us in this beautiful part of the world and better yet, real estate is still very affordable in this part of California.
